Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil CAD Technologist with 1–3 years of professional experience in detailed civil engineering design work. The ideal candidate will have background in civil and road design work and proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed design plans for transportation and civil infrastructure projects using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Design and develop civil engineering plans using AutoCAD or Civil 3D, specializing in grading, land development, site servicing, and road design.
- Conduct technical analyses, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with local and provincial regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to create innovative solutions for design challenges.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive construction plan sets for agency permitting and approval processes with minimal supervision.
- Generate topographical profiles using existing survey data and construct precise surfaces for earthwork calculations and volume comparisons.
Qualifications Required
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on site drainage, grading and infrastructure projects preferred. Experience in transportation engineering projects such as roadways, highways, or transit systems is an asset.
- High proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD software.
- Strong knowledge of detailed design processes for civil infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Ontario regulations and permitting processes and able to learn standards of other jurisdictions.
